Marx was not the first person to give the socialist ideas. He calls his socialism scientific and socialism before his socialism as utopian. It is not necessary to base it on capitalist principles. According to the socialists, industrial society can be based on socialistic principles. It is based on the realization of inhumane nature of capitalism. It emerged as a reaction against capitalism. Since Marx is a critic of capitalism, he is a believer in socialism. Hence he wanted to end the exploitation and to give a life of dignity to the poor. Marx was concerned with the extreme exploitation of the poor, by the capitalist class. It means whatever we do should be based on the proper understanding and on the basis of understanding we should formulate our policies. Praxis means action based on theory and theory leading to action. Marx himself has written that “Philosophers have only interpreted the world, what matters is to change it.” No other philosopher has such a influence like that of Karl Marx. Marx is certainly the greatest of all political philosophers. Philosophers have only interpreted the world, what matters is to change it.
